The authentic godfather of Detroit “minimal techno” and a co-founder of the techno collective Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills is one of the few musicians who have best visualised “the future” without betraying the spiritual essence of the entire tradition of black music. The Tomorrow Comes the Harvest project was initiated with the late legend of Afrobeat, Tony Allen, and continued with his close friend and collaborator Jean Philippe Dary, a keyboard player and producer of Guyanese descent who also contributed to the smooth jazz of Greg Osby and the global pop of Damon Albarn.
