The stadium “Germano Todoli”, also known as “dei Pini” (“of the pine trees”), is a sport venue in Cervia, in the neighbourhood of Milano Marittima. Its creation dates back to 1938-39, at a time when the small town was developing its defining features (around ten years before a ministerial decree recognised Cervia as Stazione di cura, soggiorno e turismo, that is to say a health resort, holiday, and tourism destination). Named “Stadio dei Pini”, the venue has been since the home of the local football team; in 1997 it was dedicated to Germano Todoli, to honour the President of the best seasons of the Cervia team. Important restoration works took place in 2004 and 2009.
In summer 2020 the green area by the stadium will be turned into a small arena for live events, especially created to host Per l’alto sale – Il Trebbo in musica 2.0, a series of conversations with writers and intellectuals, accompanied or followed by live music, with which Ravenna Festival returns to Cervia.
