A thirty-year-old singer-songwriter and a rising star of today’s Brazilian music scene, Zé Ibarra is widely regarded as one of the most credible heirs to the golden age of Brazilian music of the early 1970s. This was the era of Caetano Veloso and Milton Nascimento, when bold psychedelia and the rhythmic continuum of funk effortlessly inspired some of the finest Brazilian popular music.
Ibarra’s delicate, sun-drenched songs soothe our inner melancholy, blending elements of pop and heartfelt ballads with the lightness of samba-soul.
