Italian rap music, both contemporary and historicised, has long been faced with the challenge of reconciling very different personalities, generations and sensibilities. For this reason, the only way to paint a credible picture of the multifaceted world of Italian rap is to bring artists with different poetic styles and backgrounds together on the same stage for a concert-event. This is also the best way to rediscover the collective and underground dimension of a musical style that originated within a specific subculture, somewhere between urban streets and social centres. Thanks to live streaming, this style has found its way into the world of youth culture, even in the land of bel canto. All this is done with the awareness that we are now speaking to a wider, more transgenerational audience than ever before.
