More than fifty years have passed since the tragic death of Pier Paolo Pasolini, but his ability to perceive and anticipate the dramatic and painful changes that would affect our Country in the years that followed is now clearer than ever. His iconic initials have become an acronym and form the title of the album and reading-concert by Massimo Zamboni, the singer-songwriter and author from Reggio Emilia who founded the punk rock and alternative rock bands CCCP and CSI. Although Pasolini’s life and work were pervaded by “a deep civic pain”, Zamboni notes that “we cannot ignore his brilliant mind, his sharp, laser-like insight, capable of deep compassion”.
