A thread of light runs through this journey, proposed by an ensemble of strings that can transform simplicity into an endless soundscape. Mozart’s gestures are clear and theatrical. The Divertimento K 136 has the energy of a youthful overture, while Eine kleine Nachtmusik distils perfect forms into pure musical architecture. Bartók’s Divertimento fuses folkloric rhythms, restless tensions, and reverberations of history, breathing new life into the classical ensemble and propelling it into the XX century. Pärt’s Greater Antiphons offer a modern perspective with their essential, suspended compositional style, reconnecting us with the meditative dimension of sound. In this concert, which will last late into the night, the strings become the voice of the time with a repertoire spanning two and a half centuries.
