Sadek Berrabah’s creative journey began with his irresistible fascination for geometric shapes, which quickly sparked a passion for drawing. Dance soon followed. However, it was a flock of flying birds that inspired him to combine these two passions into a synchronised creative expression. “Murmuration”, the English word used to describe the harmonious formations of a large flock of birds in flight, has since become Berrabah’s choreographic mantra. Like an iconic conductor, the French artist directs his performers in a dance of precise gestures and geometries blended with urban dance styles such as tutting and popping. This mesmerising 2.0 dance showcases the talents of a group of dancers who move in unison, marking an exciting new chapter for Murmuration.
