{"id":24276,"date":"2021-07-12T17:22:33","date_gmt":"2021-07-12T15:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/trilogia-dautunno-2021-la-danza-la-musica-la-parola\/"},"modified":"2021-08-04T09:10:40","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T07:10:40","slug":"trilogia-dautunno-2021-la-danza-la-musica-la-parola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/en\/trilogia-dautunno-2021-la-danza-la-musica-la-parola\/","title":{"rendered":"Autumn Trilogy 2021: the Dance, the Music, the Word"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>Monday 19 July, at 9, the opening of the pre-sales for\u00a0<em>Met\u00e0noia<\/em>, <em>Faust rapsodia<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Paradiso XXXIII<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ravenna Festival&#8217;s Autumn Trilogy is back, a journey that takes place in the name of Dante:\u00a0<\/strong>the 32nd edition of the Festival completes its declaration of love for the Poet with the premiere of three new works, exploring lights and shadows of the human soul through the languages of dance, music, and poetry.\u00a0The Trilogy starts from\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/en\/events\/metanoia\/\"><strong>Dante Met\u00e0noia<\/strong><\/a><\/span> <strong>(1-5 September)<\/strong>, a three-part choreography with which ballet star Sergei Polunin faces Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso. The Alighieri Theatre shall host also the October events:\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/events\/faust-rapsodia\/\"><strong>Faust rapsodia<\/strong><\/a><\/span> <strong>(1-3 October)<\/strong>\u00a0is a brand new visionary production blending Goethe&#8217;s poem and Robert Schumann&#8217;s music in the adaptation by director Luca Micheletti and conductor Antonio Greco; actor Elio Germano will be entrusted with the most luminous of Dante&#8217;s verses in\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/en\/events\/paradiso-xxxiii\/\"><strong>Paradiso XXXIII<\/strong><\/a><\/span> <strong>(11-13 October)<\/strong>, a work created with composer Teho Teardo and with the direction of Simone Ferrari and Lulu Helbaek, in an attempt to express the ineffable. Ticket pre-sales for all events open on Monday, 19 July.<\/p>\n<p>Movement, sound, word: through three performing languages, the Trilogy explores Man&#8217;s three-fold nature &#8211; divine, human, and diabolical. The contradictory and multi-faceted nature of Man seems to be embodied by the enigmatic personality of Polunin, the celebrated bad boy of dance, as well as by the evergreen myth of Faust, the haunted philosopher, scientist, and necromancer who yields his soul to the devil to slake his thirst for knowledge and youth. The event in the Alighieri will be preceded by a 30-minute performance, accessible to those holding a ticket for\u00a0<em>Faust rapsodia<\/em>: in the Basilica of San Francesco,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #800080;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ravennafestival.org\/events\/faust-rapsodia\/\">Quanto in femmina foco d\u2019amor<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is a &#8220;mystery for voices and pilgrims&#8221;, a reflection on the female characters in the\u00a0<em>Commedia<\/em>.
