While waiting for the programme of the next edition, tune in to the Ravenna Festival with the radio broadcasts: Rai Radio 3 airs a selection of concerts from last summer, also live streamed or on demand on the radio’s website. An itinerary of great music retraces the journey of an extraordinary edition from all points of view, re-imagined for the unprecedented context of the pandemic and carried out with courage, creativity, and the support of Italian and non-Italian artists.<\/strong><\/p>\n Two episodes for\u00a0Iv\u00e1n Fischer<\/strong>‘s concert with his\u00a0Budapest Festival Orchestra: one is dedicated to Benjamin Britten’s\u00a0Les Illuminations<\/em>\u00a0performed with soprano Anna Prohaska; in the second part, the BFO performs Franz Joseph Haydn’s Symphony no. 104 known as “London” and the\u00a0Siegfried-Idyll<\/em> Richard Wagner created for his wife Cosima to celebrate the birth of their son Siegfried.<\/p>\n The 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth was celebrated with several tributes. Two piano recitals were entrusted to\u00a0Nikolay Khozyainov<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Filippo Gorini<\/strong>. The Russian pianist performed a selection of pieces including the ones composed by Chopin, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, and Schumann for the Beethoven Album of 1842, whose proceeds contributed to the monument in Bonn.
