The maestro, his orchestra, and the theatre: that is enough to find again the joy of making music together and share it with everyone, everywhere. <\/strong>Riccardo Muti leads the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra in Ravenna\u2019s Alighieri Theatre for two concerts which will be streamed for free on November 22 and 29, at 11 am CET, on the website ravennafestival.live, and made available for a further 15 days. The concerts are made possible by the collaboration between Ravenna Festival, <\/strong>Fondazione Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini, and RMMUSIC, with the contribution of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The programmes chosen by Muti reflect the principles which have always featured in his work, that is to say, the keen interest in nurturing the new generation of musicians and his love for Italy which can and must be the country of music. The concert on November 22 is entirely dedicated to Schubert, with his Symphony No. 3 and the Unfinished which was performed for the first concert of the Cherubini Orchestra in 2005; on November 29, an all-Italian programme includes Martucci\u2019s Notturno, Puccini\u2019s Preludio sinfonico, and Verdi\u2019s overtures from Nabucco<\/em>\u00a0and I vespri siciliani<\/em>, together with the Macbeth<\/em> ballabili.<\/p>\n

The young Cherubini musicians return the theatre, a cultural heart, the city of to Ravenna, through two Sundays of music which digitally reopens its doors to audiences all around the world. On- and in-ear headphones offer an immersive audio experience of the unique acoustic of the Alighieri Theatre, one of the only eight places in the world (and the only theatre in Italy) to which the cutting-edge d&b Soundscape En-space system has been applied. The subscription to the Ravenna Festival and RMMUSIC newsletters gives access to exclusive content from the rehearsals. Within the project \u201cANSA per la cultura\u201d, which sees the Italian press agency host streamed events from the main Italian theatres on its website, the concerts will be available also on ANSA.it. Moreover, the collaboration with the Spring Festival in Tokyo has been renewed and the concerts will be streamed also on its website.
