Every evening at 7 pm, between June 9 and July 12, the Basilica of San Vitale &#8211; shining with gold and mosaics, one of the 8 monuments of Ravenna featuring as UNESCO World Heritage site &#8211; will host this special \u201cfestival within the festival\u201d , including the proposals selected through the call of the same name and aimed to choirs, ensembles, and soloists.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The call is open to choirs, ensembles, and soloists &#8211; without any limit of age or nationality &#8211; to select concerts no longer than 30-40 minutes.<\/strong> The\u00a0proposals must show high musical quality, comply with the sacred context of the venue, distinguish themselves for originality, especially concerning rarely-performed\u00a0repertoires and regional traditions. Musical theatre in the shape of mystery plays will be given special attention. The selected concerts will be included in this \u201cfestival within\u00a0the festival\u201d as a part of the programme of the 31st edition.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mosaics of events thus created will guide the audience through centuries of sacred music, exploring a tradition rich in surprises,\u00a0enchantments, and spirituality.
