Then, a mere four years later, the \u2018new world\u2019 that Verdi had been feeling in the air began to take shape in Bizet\u2019s masterpiece, <em>Carmen<\/em>, whose irresistible drive anticipated the Verismo opera. <\/p>\n<p>In an unexpected game of cross-references, expressed in the by now tried and tested format of the Autumn Trilogy, the three operas will be created on the same stage on consecutive nights. The theatrical machine assembles a scene and then pulls it apart, transforms it, renews it, playing with the inventiveness and creativity of an effective mix of young talents, experienced craftsmen and cutting-edge technology.
