Young Artists for Dante
Ever morning, by his tomb, a tribute is paid to the Poet
in collaboration with Società Dante Alighieri
Once again the Festival promotes the encounter between Dante’s extraordinary linguistic, literary and cultural heritage and the new generation of artists, whose creations and inventions will be scheduled daily at the Ancient Franciscan Cloisters, in the heart of Ravenna’s “Dantesque quarters”. Waiting for 2021, the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante’s death in Ravenna, the Cloisters close to the Poet’s tomb are the venue for a series of performances born from the collaboration of local schools and artists, as well as works selected through an international call. Dante is the absolute protagonist, re-interpreted in a variety of performative languages testifying to the inexhaustible vitality of his work.
