Solo voices and polyphonic textures, accompanied by percussions and strings, will alternate with songs from the Sufi Islamic tradition, the Maronite Church of the East, the Sephardic Jewish and the Christian traditions, mixing different styles and vocals that share common roots, in languages like Latin, Aramaic, Arabic, Syrian, Provencal and other idioms from the Mediterranean area. The concert by Patrizia Bovi, the Lebanese Fadia Tomb El-Hage and Françoise Atlan, a French singer born in a Judeo-Berber family, will feature music from the three monotheistic religions of the Mediterranean in an exciting spiritual journey inspired by the Sacred Places, Sacred Books exhibition (Antwerp, 2014-2015), and commissioned by Amuz, an innovative music research centre based in Belgium.
